Panda Game Manufacturing Call Scheduled

We are talking with several manufacturers, like Panda. Panda is one of the world’s premier board game manufacturers. Their international team is amazing and has helped us navigate this step of the manufacturing process. Panda is also the manufacturer behind games like Scythe, Wingspan, and TRAILS.

We are not going to production right away. We still have a lot of work to do. Here is what we are thinking:

Phase 0:

Create a limited set of prototypes for patrons to purchase on the Play Bishop website. We will use Board Games Maker or The Game Crafter. This will be designed to get patrons something to play as quickly as possible before phase 1.

Phase 1: (optional)

Develop a Kickstarter for a limited print run of the alpha game design. We would use Board Games Maker or The Game Crafter. This campaign will be designed to get the early adopters something to play as quickly as possible before phase 2.

Phase 2:

Get all the design details finished with commissioned artwork. For example, right now, the card backs and frames are placeholders we designed. And that artwork is likely to be used in phase 1.

Phase 3:

Develop a full-blow Kickstarter campaign for mass print runs of the tournament-legal game design. We will use Board Games Maker, Panda Game Manufacturing, or another. This campaign will attract as many people who want the game as possible.

Phase 4:

If the game takes and Kickstarter is successful, a few things are planned. One of them being an in-person cash prize tournament.

Now, remember that the phases here are a draft of what is to come. But if everything goes as we hope, we are launching something this year.
